Tommy Boyce and Bobby Hart – songwriting geniuses

This Special Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame Induction Episode 56 may be our favorite Radio Archive episode yet!

Bob and Ron’s ability to mix and match such a disparate range of music never fails to amaze and entertain. Where else are you going to hear back-to-back Black Sabbath and Miles Davis? Or Boyce & Hart and the Sex Pistols in the same set? Sure, you could program your iPod to do it, but where’d you get the idea in the first place? From Bob and Ron’s Record Club, that’s for damn sure.

Great tracks from 2006 Hall of Fame Inductees Lynyrd Skynyrd, Black Sabbath, Sex Pistols, Blondie, Boyce & Hart, A&M Records and Miles Davis, plus a little Humble Pie thrown in for good measure. It’s the Record Club, baby! It ain’t happenin’ without some Humble Pie!

Humble Pie were on A&M records. But you are correct sir, “It ain’t happenin’ without some Humble Pie”.
Thanks for keeping the memories of us keeping the memories of old underrated tunes alive.
